I am glad to invite you to the 6th Eurasian Congress on Emergency Medicine to be held in conjunction with the 14th Turkish Emergency Medicine Congress. As you are already aware, the Eurasian Congress on Emergency Medicine which is traditionally held biennially aims to bring the emergency medicine specialists from Asia and Europe. We will host our guests in this nice congress again at the Regnum Carya Hotel Belek which collected a very positive feedback over all participants at the ACEM 2017 Congress.
Apart from the regular congresses, our goal this year is to organize a brand new congress with the debate presentations which the trainers and participants will have more interaction and where the experienced academicians will meet with small groups of audience to discuss their expertise in the master fields of interest. We have formulated a scientific program enabling the participants to have interactive exchange of views one-on-one with the lecturers instead of just listening to them in huge meeting halls together with hundreds of people.
Emergency Medicine has been recognized as a major medical specialty in Turkey for over 20 years.
The emergency medicine specialty in Turkey continues its development regularly and each year more emergency medicine specialists take their place in the national healthcare system. Our community which is getting bigger and bigger is our biggest source of motivation for the congresses that Emergency Medicine Association of Turkey (EMAT) is trying to organize better each time. From the very beginning of this process, the Emergency Medicine Association of Turkey has always been the biggest supporter of all emergency medical professionals. Publications of our association and our continuous medical education activities are the main reference source for Emergency Medicine Training institutions, Emergency Medicine specialists and practitioners, and for Emergency Medicine residents.
In EACEM 2018, we will be present with the national and international renowned lecturers and trainers who you will enjoy to listen and communicate. A large area has been set aside for the exhibition of the pharmaceutical and medical companies as well as book publishers. Congress registration is a must in order to visit the exhibition area which will be open on all congress days.
Letter of Invitation
Upon request, a letter of invitation will be sent to any registered participants. This letter will be sent solely to assist participants in obtaining leave from their institutions.
Name badges must be worn to enter scientific sessions, exhibition areas and all social activities by each participant, accompanying person and industry representative.
Certificate of Participation
Certificate of participation will be given to the all registered participants at the last day of the congress from the congress registration desk.

IMPORTANT POINTS AND RULES FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS
Abstracts must be sent over the system in ENGLISH or TURKISH. Abstracts sent independently of the system, by post, or in languages other than English or Turkish will not be accepted. Abstracts sent over the internet, if accepted, will be printed as they arrive, so they should be free of errors.
The presenting author MUST REGISTER by October 10, 2018. Abstracts of unregistered authors will not be published at the abstract book of the congress.

Rules for Abstracts
1. Abstracts will be gathered via the online abstract system.
2. Names of the authors must not include their academic titles.
3. Names must be written with only the first letter capitalized, and unabbreviated.
4. The name and address of the institution where the author works must be included.
5. Abstracts headers must be in title case (first letters capitalized only), with the exception of abbreviations.
6. If abbreviations are used in the abstract, the unabbreviated form must be included in parentheses.
7. The objective and material of the project must be briefly stated. Results must be summarized with sufficient numerical data, and conclusions should be explained within the results presented.
8. The research abstracts must contain the following headers: Objective, Material, Method, Results, Conclusion and Keywords and the case studies must contain the following headers: Introduction, Case(s), Conclusion and Keywords.
9. The abstract, not including the title, author’s name and surname must not exceed 300 words.
10. The abstracts will be collected in poster or oral abstracts format and the related topic category which fits best with your abstract should be selected at the relevant step.
11. Abstracts must be in text format and ONLY one table and one image can be included.
12. In order for a blind review by the abstract review committee, please do not include institutions or hospital names in the abstract text.
Please note any abstract that does not fit with one of the instructions above will be out of evaluation and rejected.
1. If you will use the online abstract module for the first time, select the “New User” link and register to the system.
2. The explanations at the page after the registration procedure will guide you. Please read the messages and explanations carefully.
3. The abstracts submitted via internet shall be published without any corrections; therefore the authors should be careful about spelling mistakes.
4. Please keep the confirmation mail sent to your e-mail address following the abstract submission.
5. You can track the evaluation process of your abstract over the system by using your e-mail and password.

All abstracts and proceedings will be blind reviewed by the Scientific Committee. In order to have an accepted abstract being programmed by the scientific committee, congress registration for the presenting author until October 10, 2018 is compulsory. An acceptance letter concerning the abstract evaluation result will be e-mailed to the author.
Instructions for Preparing Posters
Instructions for accepted abstracts for poster presentations. Posters must be 70 cm wide and 90 cm high and should be designed to be legible from at least one meter away. The date, place and number of the stands where posters will be exhibited shall be announced by the organizing committee. Posters shall be affixed by sticky putty, and no other material shall be allowed. Assistance will be provided to the presenters in hanging their posters.
